Your Trainer
Training is led by an Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer who delivers OSHA 10 Construction in English and Spanish. Our trainers bring deep construction and loss-control experience — so the class goes past hazard awareness into how teams actually perform safer together. Expect trade-tuned electives, practical takeaways, and a coaching approach that builds culture and psychological safety. Credentials among the training team include CSP, CRIS, MLIS, OHST, CHST, and CIT.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is training offered in English and Spanish?
Yes. OSHA 10 Construction is available in English and Español, and we schedule the delivery language with you based on your crew. OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR with AED are also available in Spanish.
What does OSHA 10 Construction include, and who is it for?
OSHA 10 Construction is a two-day course for construction employers and their crews. It covers core hazard awareness, taught with a coaching approach and trade-tuned electives, so teams leave with practical takeaways they use on the job.
How do I request training?
Use the contact form or email start@coachingsafety.org. We schedule training in English or Spanish. Contact us early so we can match dates and language to your crew.
What other courses do you offer?
OSHA 30 (Español); First Aid and CPR with AED (en Español); AVIRT; and Leadership, Management, and Human & Organizational Performance (HOP).
Can someone take OSHA 10 Construction and later add hours for an OSHA 30?
Yes, under OSHA Outreach Training Program rules. The same authorized Outreach trainer must deliver the original OSHA 10 and the additional 20 hours. All training — from the start of the OSHA 10 through the end of the OSHA 30 — must be completed within 180 calendar days. The student must return the original OSHA 10 card to the trainer so it can be sent back to the Authorizing Training Organization; then a 30-hour card can be issued. Students should not keep both a 10- and a 30-hour card for the same upgrade path, because that can look like 40 hours of training. Ask us when you request training if your crew may want this path.
Is OSHA Outreach training required by federal OSHA?
No. The Outreach Training Program is voluntary. Some states, cities, employers, or job sites may require an OSHA 10 or 30 card for access or employment. Outreach training also does not replace the employer’s duty to train workers on specific OSHA standards that apply to their jobs.
Is an OSHA 10 or 30 card a certification or license?
No. Students who finish the class receive an OSHA Outreach course completion card. It is not a certification or license.
Who should take OSHA 10 vs OSHA 30 Construction?
The 10-hour class is intended mainly for workers needing awareness of common construction job hazards. The 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility.
How long does OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 take?
Under program rules, training is limited to 7.5 student contact hours per calendar day, so OSHA 10 takes at least two calendar days and OSHA 30 at least four. We deliver Construction OSHA 10 and 30 in person only — there is no online version through Coaching Safety (English or Spanish).
When do students get their cards?
Authorized Outreach trainers issue student course completion cards within 90 days after class completion. We can also provide a class certificate at the end of training while the card is processing; whether a site accepts a certificate before the card arrives is up to that employer or job site.
How do I confirm a trainer is authorized?
Ask to see the trainer’s current OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer card before class (name and expiration on the front; Authorizing Training Organization on the card). You can also start with OSHA’s Find a Trainer page: https://www.osha.gov/training/outreach/find-a-trainer/
Does an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card expire?
Federally, OSHA Outreach course completion cards do not expire. Nevada still requires OSHA 10 for many construction workers and OSHA 30 for supervisors (timing rules apply after hire), but it no longer has a statewide 5-year card expiration. Many cities, employers, or specific projects still want a refresher or a more recent card — often within about 3 to 4 years. Always check the job site, contract, or local rule that applies to your crew.
